The path traffics in lands of Puel Mapuche Community for what permission should be requested. Warn in Border Army position located on Provincial Road 13.
Description: from Border Army crossing Road 13 and going up a small hill you will meet with a soccer court. Cross it and you will arrive to a small pehuenes forest. Later on you will see the electrician spread under which traffics the path.
The first half hour of walk will traffic between colihue canes and ñires, then the path is without funds for again to traffic between canes and ñires. Approximately 1 hour later the path moves few meters away from the electrician spread to be rediscovered above, where follows it again. In this part of the path you will see to your right imposing pehuenes.
Then the last ascent of this stage will begin. To your left you will see Llaima volcano in Chile. After half hour more you will arrive to antennas and few meters later on you will see the volcano. This is a good place to rest and enjoy the beautiful landscape.
From antennas you will follow road heading for the volcano. You will see above road for cars and to your right a beautiful and extensive pehuenes forest. After walking approximately 20 minutes you will arrive to the road. Continue for the same one. Only separates you of the volcano a half hour of walk.
When arriving to the summit you will find a beautiful lagoon located in the volcano crater. The same one is surrounded by a small beach. Immerse in that natural phenomenon is the ideal place to rest and take a refreshment. There you can ascend to different view points located in diverse hillsides.
From there you can continue to the second lagoon and Batea Mahuída Pass.
